Can't access Configuration menu

Hi I am running motion blue v4 on raspberry pi 3 and have drastic installed but can't access config menu. Hitting "m" or right toggle makes screen go black. Escape key gets me back to game. Can anyone help?

Maybe your display doesn't support 800x480. Are you able to run DraStic without a frontend or command line parameter, so the menu starts up?

Hi games work but when I try to access configuration menu by pressing m, the screen goes black. Escape key gets me back to game.

I am running emulator on retropie motion blue. I don't know how to run it without a front end.
