Microphone problems

I'm using a nexus 4 on 4.2. I was playing The legend of zelda, spirit tracks and got to the part where you have to play the flute by blowing into the mic. Didn't work no matter what I did. Is it working for everyone else?

This is a problem on the Pandora version as well, seems to be an emulation glitch.

For the time being I think there is a fake mic cheat code for this game underneath the Misc. Codes section.

I have not been able to get this working at all. I applied the code, went back to the game and pressed R but its still not working. Do I need to do something else, like reset the game or whatever? I'd love to be able to play through both Zelda games but right now I'm stuck in both at the parts where you need to blow on the mic

Just tried the cheat, doesn't work
Was really looming forward to playing this game.
