Off-center control grid and "message" editting

The snap grid is slightly off-center, and so are the snaps if I rely on them. Then there's the firmware's message. The system options already edit other aspects, so there shouldn't be hard to add this to it.
Both are details, but I'm a perfectionist. If possible, can you fix it?

To be honest there really is not much for anyone to answer. Odds are lordus has probably seen this topic and may try to fix the off center grid. (Nice find btw I necer noticed)
As fpr the drastic system msg I personally love it, I think it is more of an easter egg of sorts since there are not many games that actually read it. I also am not exactly sure how easy it would be to add in the ability to edit it since it may be possible to crash the emulator if a non proper string is entered. The DS itself has a keyboard that one would assume does not have anything that would let you put in an invalid string into that text box, but drastic uses the users own keyboard..... not honestly sure if a crash would happen. Though the name box might have the same issue, but since I have not seen a post on it maybe I am just being silly.

Re: Off-center control grid and "message" editting
The native message doesn't bother me, breaking it mi
dway does :/
DeSmuME firmware editor can edit your message without problems. There's a size limit, just like your nickname. If things like odd symbols can cause problems it should be possible to block them.
The grid image should do some kind of stretching to allow consistenty, but I don't know how the snap points work.

Yep. The problem here is that the grid is 20x20 pixels, and the screenshot shows a 1280x768 resolution. 768 is of course not divisible by 20.TkSilver wrote:Odds are lordus has probably seen this topic and may try to fix the off center grid.
I already changed it so the grid will adapt to such more uncommon resolutions, but it hasn't been released in beta yet.
Regarding the firmware: if you have your own nds_firmware.bin in the system folder, DraStic will use that.
Re: Off-center control grid and "message" editting
Cool, I'll be waiting for the next betas.
I knew about custom firmwares, but I don't have any (DeSmuME is in-built afaik). Should it be possible please add message editting to your to-do list.

Necro, but I tried the "nds_firmware.bin in the system folder" and it didn't work.

What message does drastic have set? Ive never come accross a game that shows itTkSilver wrote:To be honest there really is not much for anyone to answer. Odds are lordus has probably seen this topic and may try to fix the off center grid. (Nice find btw I necer noticed)

desperate dra
stic measure
Few games display it, like TWEWY for example. It's absolute nitpicking, but oh well. It's a field like nickname, which is editable, so albeit low priority it could be changed without issues.

that reminds me of Drastic's tagline "desperate times call for drastic measures" if that is still in the about section of the appFefo wrote:desperate dra
