Need advice about a DVD decoder...

I'm trying to find a DVD decoder for my Windows 8 computer, but I can't find one that meets what I want (free and good ratings). Do you guys have any ideas?

If you are talking about a media player I personally love media player classic. I have used it in one form or another for about 10+ years.

If for some reason you need a m-peg 2 codec for windows the fine ppl at cccp have just about every video codec you could want and a few you might not even know exist.

Other then that the only other thing I could think of when you say decoder would be dvd ripper software and sorry I haven't used that kind of software in years, since around college. So I can't really help with that.

Installed media player classic, popped in my favorite episode of The Big Bang Theory, and it ran perfectly. Thank You
