[Pokemon SoulSilver] Enabling cheats don't activate in-game

Hi there!

I'm very new to the whole emulation world, so apologies in advance for the rookie question!

I have been playing SoulSilver on the paid version of the android app for a while and have no issues with OOTB gameplay (thanks for such a great app!) I decided I wanted to activate the Voltorb Flip cheats, because I didn't want to sit there for hours playing the game/using http://www.voltorbflip.com/ to help win the rounds. So I opened the cheat list within the app, found the "Max Coins" and "Max Coins (Select)" cheats, and enabled the former. I then loaded my in-game save (I never load from the savestates), walked up to the vendor to purchase some TMs with the coins, and noticed that it didn't max my coin count. I then enabled the "select" version, went back into the game, pressed the select button on-screen, then talked to the vendor again. Still, no dice.

Am I missing something?

Apologies for the delay! USA, I believe (no location info in the file name, but the location I found the rom is American).

No dice. I did your suggestion as follows:
- launched SoulSilver from current in-game save.
- travelled to the game corner, then turned on the "max coins" and "max coins (select)" cheats.
- saved in-game.
- Quit Drastic (menu > quit, then closed all android apps).
- Open Drastic
- Select "Load New Game"
- Select "Soul Silver"
- Start Game
- Once loaded, checked game case, still 14 coins.
- Escaped the in-game menu, then talked to the game corner vendors, still 14 coins.
- Pressed select, still 14 coins.

EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't realise there was another setting to toggle that enabled the cheats (I thought just toggling the cheat itself enabled it). I enabled the Menu > Options > General Settings > Enable Cheats, and they now work Thanks anyway!
