My Pokemon save data is "corrupt" or "damaged"

I'm playing Pokemon white and whenever I reset it says "your file will be erased due to corruption or damage, how do I fix this?

The ROM may be bad, try it from another place. Make sure you are making in-game saves and not just savestates and that you are not using any cheats that could be corrupting the save data.

I have no idea, you'll have to do some trial & error and see if they are causing or not, but cheats in general have been known to cause save data corruption in some games.

I can't do trial and error because I have to save the game and restart to disable cheats but whenever I do that my save file gets erased, also im using the saves on the menu not savestates because I read that I wasn't supposed to

Does the save get erased when you don't use cheats? If so it could just be the ROM is bad and you need to try another.

The save was only getting erased recently, it might be due to a combination of cheats or I remember I tried to change my time but I just set it back to my phones, also I got the rom from EmulatorGames.net, is their something wrong with that sites roms?

Oh also the rom wasn't deleting my save files before
