Advance Wars DS - goes to menu screen frequently

In the heat of the battle in Advance Wars DS, the game frequently exits to the menu screen... btw I'm using the last version of the emulator(r2.1.6.2a)
In Galaxy Note 2 I can play without any frameskip - Turn on/off the multi-threaded 3D, choose another screen filter or enable/disabled haptic feedback didn't fix the problem.

Is this a know bug?

I'll test it a bit on my device momentarily to see if I have a similar problem and update this post.

Is it only occurring with this one game?
Are you using a cracked version of DraStic?

Drastic I brought it from google play. The only game I play is Advance Wars só I dont know if the same occurs in other game. Thanks.

make sure you have enuf memory to spare. also save frequently. i havent experienced this problem but i really havent given it much of a test run since i also have other things to test.

I was having this exact same problem until the current update. I tried everything to fix it, fiddling with the settings, wiping cache, even uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing seemed to change it. And then bizarrely, it just went away on it's own. Exophase seemed to think it might have been an install problem so I guess try backing up your saves and wiping the install and folder and reinstalling? Hopefully it'll fix itself for you too.

I have been running into this same problem. The game will randomly crash anywhere from 1 to 15 minutes after loading. This only happens on my phone though (LG G2, T-Mobile). On my tablet (ASUS MemoPad), I have yet to run in to this issue...

I'm having the exact same problem.

I'm running the latest version : r2.1.6.2a. with Nexus 5 (kitkat) . It randomly crash which is quite annoying.

Hopefully this issue can be fixed, as Advance Wars is one of the most popular games in DS.

as of now, our only solution for this problem is to save frequently. once my testing of gs is done, id look into this problem.

It'd be good if we could get some more debug info from the crash somehow, maybe Lordus has some ideas and would like to work with someone who has these crash issues.

It'd also be helpful to confirm that it still happens on the latest beta.

I can temporary solve this problem by turning off the battle mode. ie. set: Options -> No Visual.

Hopefully someone can look into this, as it's quite annoying.
