Pokemon time does not pass unless I'm actively playing

Pokemon time does not pass unless I'm actively playing

If I do something else for an hour and then come back to drastic, no time has passed. I have to constantly save>reset to get the time fixed, this is annoying. Is there a way to just sync the time with my phone? I'm playing pokemon platinum TY :)

use system time. in option menu, choose system, then enable always use system time for RTC
