White/blank screen on English patch

Hi! I'm trying to play Fire Emblem New Mystery of the Emblem with the English rom. I've successfully patched the English translation in, however, whenever I load the game, I get a white screen. The unpatched version runs fine, I just can't get the English patch to work. I appreciate the help! Thank you in advance.

You may be patching the wrong version of the ROM. Usually the place you get the patch version tells you the exact version to use, and usually the region release.

In that case, I would suggest you try to learn as many new words as possible to develop your vocabulary. That way, it will be much easier for you and you will not have to ask anyone else for help. I was in your situation and I know how you feel, so I recommend what helped me. I started by looking for various sites that could help me. I came across an extremely good site where I learned new vocabulary in stages until I learned the subject verb agreement worksheet, which I needed for a simple conversation and handled it independently.
