The EU version doesn't crash. As the post above mine says, the US version that everybody uses is likely a bad dump. If anybody here knows how to dump a ROM, we need that person to try it and see if the problem is fixed. If not, then it is an emulation issue. Until then, just use the EU version. It's exactly the same anyway. It even uses American English because it's probably based on the system language.

To anyone who seems to have a copy of the "bad" US ROM, could you find the MD5 sum or CRC32 of that ROM and post that here? Certain file managers on Android like ZArchiver can display this information.

Browse to the file in ZArchiver, long press it, and select "Information". It will list the MD5 there. You should be able to hit the copy button and paste it here.

Yep, that's a "bad" rom. According to no-intro, that is a "bad" dump because the header is underdumped. That shouldn't affect anything, but it's good to know...

in any case, i will still try to test this if i can find that specific rom. My md5 doesnt show anywhere but when i changed language to german, it did change so meh... easier solution is get a euro rom i guess...

and i doubt the english is any different from the us version.

Okay, checking with this exact rom from OP... It also changes languages so I guess it is no different from my rom aside from being a different md5.

Interesting. I guess it's now our duty to do some public service by telling people about this discovery and reporting any of the bad roms on rom sharing websites. I encourage anyone who sees this message to do the same.
