Convert from drastic to desmume - Dawn of sorrow keeps saying corrupted save

Hi, I tried reading around on how to convert from dsv on drastic to desmume with no luck. I tried both putting the .dsv into the "battery" folder on desmume and changing it to .sav and importing battery save. But, each time I tried it reloaded and the game said save corrupted and deleted it. I also tried turning off "store in-game saves in savestates" on drastic and attempting with multiple .dsv files with no luck. I'm not sure if it's the rom itself, but if anyone could give me help I would appreciate it
