Can you use other people's savestates?
I did try with someone's savestate for HM sunshine islands but it doesn't work. Does anyone know how to get it working. Is it like locked to 1 person only and can't be shared with others.

Re: Can you use other people's savestates?
Yes you can use other people's savestates. The one that you tried was from a game that had gotten broken somehow.

If you want the saves to the games I actually started to play on DraStic just ask. Unfortunately for you, I don't play the same games you play.Kyousuke753 wrote:oh but it depends if people want to give me their saves
Here's the only games I actually started to play on DraStic:
7th Dragon
Docomodake DS
Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime
No. No no no no no no.

uh, yeah if you usb ports dead you cant really put it on a pc.. i would suggest you just download the app shareit on the playstore as well as for your pc/laptop. it uses wifi to send/recieve files to/from pc/phone.Kyousuke753 wrote:oh but it depends if people want to give me their saves. becus my kingdom hearts recoded save couldn't be transfered onto my new phone so i lost 3 days worth of playing. can't plug old phone to laptop becuz phones charger port usb pin is bent...and the lcd charger i got from jays suggestion doesnt seem to help but i was hoping it would be recoverable.

WAIT FIXED Jay haru-sama's suggestion worked I remembered I uploaded copies of my saves onto Google Drive when the phone was charging with the lcd charger so all is not lost...phew lucky me haha
So I only purchased the lcd charger to get my saves out and abandon the old phone lols the drama caused. Thanks Jay Haru-sama

Re: Can you use other people's savestates?
BUMP. I've tried with other peoples savestates and the continue last save option is greyed out. It doesn't work Exophase...

Re: Can you use other people's savestates?
Edited to fix error in advice:
It does work, I have used it. You do have to:
1. Make sure the savestate is named "Exactly the same as the Rom's name" SuperDuperMario2443.nds will only recognize SuperDuperMario2443.dss not supersupermario2443.dss or SuperDuperMario.dss
You also have to add _0 through _8 to name the slot of the savestate so SuperDuperMario2443.dss should end up as SuperDuperMario2443_0.dss or SuperDuperMario2443_6.dss
Regular in game saves do not need anything done to them.
2. You will have to load the rom and then go in to the DraStic in game menu (the full one not the option wheel that pops up) and load the savestate from there. (The continue last last save game loading option does not work, not really sure how DraStic tags which save state to use or that there is one for continue to pop up)

Re: Can you use other people's savestates?
I've renamed the .DSV and .DSS file to the ROM name via copy and paste and tried the method you showed me by going into in-game menu save but it's not there.

Re: Can you use other people's savestates?
The 'Continue' and 'Continue last save' options will be available if there's any savestate at all, then it will pick the most recent one.TkSilver wrote:It does work, I have used it. You do have to:

The Quick-Load/Save buttons in the radial menu only apply to the single quicksave slot (8), so Quick-Load will only be available if you ever made a Quick-Save before
