You know you can always check specs for phones/tablets online, since you have access to the internet.
Ahem Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 huh? that's been a strong high end powerful tablet you're going to purchase there buddy. If you know how to read specs on a device you will know it's good or bad for performance... so here's the link to the specs on your tablet
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_ ... 0-7439.php
If you don't know how to read that then I can tell you that your tablet has quad core rounding off closest to nearly a WHOPPING 2GHz CPU, has a great graphics card on it for GPU and an INSANE AMOUNT OF RAM \(0_0)/ like freaking 3GB RAM OMG. Gaming with a tablet is indeed the best experience to enjoy a game.
So it will be super smooth and buttery on your tablet even if you play with High Resolution 3D Rendering turned on with any filters applied with zero frameskip... basically 60 FPS no lag at all and the battery capacity is very impressive on that tablet. A tablet made by (Samsung) Korean people who never fail to impress you with their technology.
So there you go, enjoy Drastic on your Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8 it won't work great, but it will work SUPER DUPER CRAZY GOOD.

As an owner of a Galaxy tab S a few things.
If you want the tab for media consumption then yes it is a good idea, videos look nice on super amoled high resolution screens and books and magazines are a pleasure to read.
However:
Emulators will not like your tablet.
Drastic will be fine since it mainly uses cpu power and really does not touch the GPU, but others like ps1/n64/psp/dreamcast are going to be effected by the combination of high resolution screen and low end GPU performance and support.
Regular android games should be fine for the most part, juat becareful when you hit apps that really push hardware.
Side note:
If you are lucky you will get 2 android updates for your S2. 1 to update to the next android version like going to 6.0 and hopefully 1 for all the bug fixes from samsung implementing their own android changes from a good portion of the rest of the manufacturers. After that Samsung expects you to spend another $200-$400 for them to care about you any more because they will probably never do annother update for your device again. Hopefully XDA developers will make many good custom roms for you tonget new features, bug fixes and security updates that samsung does not care about.
If you want a tablet for media, a Samsung galaxy tablet is a nice choice. If you want a tablet for emulators and games then save around $300 and get the technologically superior (except for the screen) Nvidia K1 tablet, which has the second best android chipset with only Nvidia's own X1 chipset being any better.

you're all rich people lols don't even look at specs...me poor even with part time job -_- lol. Now that I've cooled off on games ahem *cough* PPSSPP biggest mistake to touch that emu *cough*(my opinion), I'll stick to the forums and mainly watch Yo-kai Watch anime.
Phablets are pretty sweet as of 2016's new releases.

Phones when bought outright are 2x-5x more expensive then most android tablets. The 8" Nvidia shield K1 is only $199 vs say a LG G5 no contract price of $635 (one of the most reasonable sd 820 or new exynos phones) holds up in performance even after giving 2 years and over $400 to the g5. The X1 chipset blows all competition away though, unfortunately it is only in the shield tv and pixel c laptop.Kyousuke753 wrote:you're all rich people lols don't even look at specs...me poor even with part time job -_- lol.

Anyways I digress, buying a phone for performance is far more expensive then buying a tablet. Though there are fewer tablets with really great specs.

Re: Samsung galaxy tab s2
I'm weird relying on phone specs to play games when it's not made for gaming but making calls, but I still modify the phone for max performance.
You're correct Tksilver when I had double pay from work I earned well over $400 but I chose not to purchase a phone because at that time I didn't know which phone to buy.
Any device I see with quad core CPU I assume it's powerful, then realize there are other better devices I could've bought. It'd be nice to have a tablet big screen and great for entertainment and all but that's something I want not need.

Re: Samsung galaxy tab s2
Agreed that a phone's primary function is to make/receive calls/texts and anything else it can do is just a bonus. Personally I use a zte obsidian for my phone and I am perfectly fine with the limited storage space (since I can store music and mainly audiobooks on a microsd) and low specs since I don't really game on it I just use it to make calls and as a portable audio player. I could have spent 16x times what I did and got the latest S phone or Iphone but honestly I didn't see the point, since anytime I was out and about with only my phone and not my tablet or one of my laptops I was generally never in a position to take advantage of the extra processing power or other features of the more expensive phones.
