lock rotation feature and crashes

Post by Jun » Tue Dec 31, 2013 9:49 pm

I can't find the rotation lock feature in the New version of drastic. Games like brain age gets messed up whenever I use my device in landscape mode. I appreciate the mic and compatibility upgrade, but adding the auto rotation and change in settings menu was annoying as hell.

Also the new version seem to crash often on my octa note 3 running 4.3 touchwiz.

Just select the portrait layout for games like Brain Age. The portrait layout will not auto-rotate when you hold the device in landscape mode.
There is also an option to disable auto-rotation in the general options.

The new version should be much more stable than the previous one. If you have any crashes, please report how and when exactly you get them. Ideally give us exact steps to reproduce it.

Jun's problem persists on my system (oxygen 2.2.0 running on Android 5.1.1); even when the screen has been locked into landscape mode in the android settings, Drastic still applies an auto rotation, making it impossible to play games lying on my side, or in Brain Training's case, sitting upright.

Your device's auto rotation lock setting does not matter. If you want to have the screens in portrait mode (like an actual DS) juat open the ingame menu and choose the very right layout at the very bottom of the in game menu screen. Your Drastic will be locked in portrait mode no matter what orientation your device is in. [This btw is the only way to play book style DS games in the format they were intended]

For landscape screen modes (ie every other layout on the list), you have to do one more thing. Go into the in game menu and select options then general, in the general settings look for landscape layout rotation. Select either landscape or reverse landscape, depending on which way you want to be up. You will have to reset drastic for this setting to take effect. Now when you select a landscape layout the orientation will also be locked just like the portrait layout.
