Glitchy Performance On Lenovo Yoga Tablet 3 Pro
Hi there. All my games I run with the Drastic app is extremely glitchy and laggy on my Lenovo Yoga Tablet 3 Pro. I think it may have to do with the fact that the tablet is using an Intel Atom processor, not an ARM based processor. Drastic works fine on my phone, which uses an ARM based CPU, and all other apps run great on my tablet, just this one is bad. Can develops look into this and offer better performance? Thanks.

What do you mean by glitchy exactly? Which games are you running?
DraStic is less optimized for x86 devices but the performance generally shouldn't be that bad on this one, at least if you don't use hires rendering.

I only play Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros DS. By glitchy performance, I mean that the frame rates are very low, and the game stutters extremely. Its like running the games with the free DS emulators.

Can you make it run better on x86 systems? Especially Intel Atom x5?

Are you not using hires rendering then? It really shouldn't be running nearly so badly if you aren't, if that's the case there's probably some other issue specific to your device.

Not sure what hires rendering means. I checked the multi-thread 3D option, it seems to run smoother, but still laggy compared to my phone. Can you tell me how to not use hires rendering? thanks.

There should be a 'High-Resolution 3D Rendering' option in the video settings.
If not, which version of DraStic are you using exactly?
Also, if you go to Options > Advanced in DraStic, does it display 'Mode: X86' at the bottom?

Okay, I see it now. I disabled its. Its smooth, but resolution is obviously far worse than before. Is there or will there be a fix for this? And yes, it says Mode: X86

Hires rendering is simply very demanding. There could be more optimizations for x86, but it's a ton of work for something that only few benefit from. Right now I'm more interested in doing an OpenGL ES 3.0 based renderer option, if that ends up working well it could be a better alternative to this (it wouldn't be handicapped by x86)EricXU1235 wrote:Okay, I see it now.
