Pokemon black no pokeball

Started pokemon black after just finishing pearl with no glitches, on route 1 given my 5 pokeballs open bag in battle to see my pokeball menu has a potion showing my medicine bag items only making the game very tedious and boring to play with one pokemon tried reinstalling drastic and game etc any ideas or fixes?

It's probably not anti-piracy, but I don't really understand the question or the problem. Are any cheats active? Outside of that, I'll have to defer to someone else who knows the game better/has played it in the emulator.

The AP protection in Pokemon black just causes random freezing and Pokemon gain no EXP. they are probaly using a bad dump because a properly dumped version works 100% fine and the AP doesnt get triggered

No cheats are active most people on here have no problem with the pokemon black ROMs or problems that aren't as game effecting . I bought drastic to play pokemon games only so pretty gutted I'm going to try all sorts of different black ROMs and get back to you
