Pokemon White Generator or Editor?

Post by maybenexttime » Mon Oct 05, 2015 9:20 pm

I've been trying to use programs to add a Charmander to my game but nothing is working.

Is there a way to do this?

Pokegen doesn't read .dss files. Is there any way for me add a Charmander to my game?

Thanks.

You can't add a specific generated charmander into your game, but the cheat code default list for Pokemon white does have the action replay codes to catch any pokemon fron gen 1-whatever gen white and black are.

How would I go about using the action replay code? Never used it before. Do I need to download something?

Do a normal save and then use Pokégen on the .dsv file.

The problem with that is I get "Unable to open" error from using the .dsv file. The .dss doesn't show up. I'm pretty sure I'm using this tool correctly.

"Unable to open C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary\Internet Files\Content..."

In fact I don't seem to have Internet Files Folder.

When I try to save on desktop it says Unable to create/write to backup file

The codes you would need are in the built-in database. On DraStic's title screen go to options then general and make sure the enable cheats is checked.

Then load pokemon white.
Open drastic's ingame menu (the bottom option on the cirle that pops up if you hit the options button on the screen.
Select the cheat's database option on that screen and the codes you want is wild pokemon modifier codes. Pick whatever pokemon you want to find and select it from the correct generation and as long as you are holding select when you encounter a wild pokemon you will replace what ever pokemon the game would have had you fight with the one you selected.

Warning only have one of this type pokemon cheat selected at a time ( you can switch as long as you deselect the pokemon you werr hunting for before) or the game will crash.

This worked well, thanks for the info, but a new problem came up.

Now all of the pokemon in the wild are charmanders. I even disabled the cheats and its still coming up like this. I turned off the wild pokemon option as well.

What went wrong here?

You need to make an in game save (not a savestate) amd reload the game using thst ingame save. Save states save the emulator's changed memory values (ie cheats) so they won't go away if you reload a savestate

Hey
You can use pokegen, I have done it.
You need to make an in game save, you may have to change settings so that in game saves are not stored in save states.
Then get your save to Pc and load it up in pokegen. This should work fine but if you have any issues you can use desmume, import battery data, export again as a .sav or something and open it up in pokegen then save as .dsv.
Be sure to keep your own back ups, I've found that pokegen can change the size of your save file making it unusable in drastic.
I'm going to make a guide in the near future for drastic and pokegen because all the relevant information should be in one place.
