Will there ever be a Widescreen hack?
Will there ever be a Widescreen hack?
Like the one in Dolphin.

Re: Will there ever be a Widescreen hack?
A modified version of desmume does it in conjunction with the Hi-Res 3d but I have no idea if its possible to add it to Drastic ds, we'll have to see what Exophase saysMargen67 wrote:Like the one in Dolphin.

First off, that's not a GCN game, it's Star Wars Episode l. Also, i'm pretty sure the widescreen hack is standard for Dolphin.Fefo wrote:Can you link me this version? Looks awesome.

You can also find me on Reddit (u/Ericbazinga) and Discord (in the DraStic Discord server). You'll find me in those places almost daily and here almost never.
Re: Will there ever be a Widescreen hack?
A widescreen hack makes sense for a console emulator that would originally work woth a wide screen display (like a tv). A DS was only ever really designed to desplay to a few very select screen sizes. I do not know if there would be much of a point even if it is possible.

Widescreen hacks can be glitchy in Dolphin but it's better than black bars.TkSilver wrote:A widescreen hack makes sense for a console emulator that would originally work woth a wide screen display (like a tv). Re: Will there ever be a Widescreen hack?
You could output the second screen to another display, or make the aspect ratio of both screens wider so that there's no black bars.Jay Haru wrote:so..... can you then tell me how is it gonna work on a 2 screen console? i mean do wide screen to get rid of evil black bars?
If you mean how to code a widescreen hack, I don't know.
Re: Will there ever be a Widescreen hack?
I was asking for DeSmuME's widescreen hack. If it truly exists, I doubt it will do much and break little, but at least I can play with it.

i can confirm said hack ar codes work well with DraStic, too. if only resizing screens non-uniformly was a little easier to edit, then it'd be perfect.
