Touch screen not working in game

I've been playing pokemon heartgold for over three months now and it has worked fine. I have also been using an Xbox remote with-it and it works perfectly. Recently, though, I opened the game and I couldn't use the touchscreen ingame. It worked fine everywhere else and I could even select the menu arrow. The game is still playable without the touchscreen but it is much less convenient. If you have any idea what is wrong or how to fix it, I would really appreciate it if you tell me. I also just tried playing a different game (new super Mario bros) and it worked completely fine.

try selecting the memu arrow while pokemon heart gold running and check the top right symbol on the quivk menu wheel. It should be a DS stylus with a red X over it if there is no red X press the symbol once.

OK thank you so much, it worked. I might have just accidentally pressed it when I was playing.
