If you enter a cheat manually it has to be activated, which is done by putting a "+" after the cheat name, like so:

[cheat_name]+
xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx

But you should be able to add the cheat inside the emulator as well as activate/deactivate it, you shouldn't have to make a file manually for it.

That's the thing, I tried adding cheats inside the emulator, it only saved 4 cheats totally but I did add more, and it also crashed and those disappeared, leaving only the 4. Now for some reason, when I load my last save on the game on the emulator, those last 4 are gone.
After some time, I did find this: http://prntscr.com/7elv0e / with each other of the Blaze Black 2's having cheats: http://prntscr.com/7elwaz and http://prntscr.com/7elwmv.
It's not obviously as simple as it seems, or at least to me anyway. But I did lose my save so I'm right back at the beginning again, which sucks and kinda another reason I want to get these cheats in the cheat database of my PokemonBlazeBlack2.nds.

and also when I try to patch with the Vanilla version or Complete version, no cheats show up for both.
