Pokemon Soul Silver touchscreen glitch during battle

There is a weird glitch during a battle in pokemon soul silver where whenever I try using an item on a pokemon, the botton screen shows this.

and after that, the battle option text become all blackish.

Is there a fix to this bug? I try using different roms but all the same result... A solution would be appreciated.

No fixes for either one. The first one you posted only affects the bottom screen the first time you enter a battle. If you enter the screen, back out, then enter again the screen won't be corrupt anymore. It's completely interactive, so you can select pokemon, but cant see what you're choosing. For the second one again, no fix. You'll have to live with it.
