Rebinding Moga controls?

Post by ghostcart » Wed Apr 15, 2015 10:56 pm

Hey folks. Been using and enjoying Drastic on both android and pandora for a while.

Weird problem though. EDIT: On android!

I picked up a Moga Hero Power for cheap, and I'm trying to use it.
Everything pairs up fine and Drastic detects it.

However the default control scheme puts fast forward on R and screen swap on L.

Muscle memory is killing me, causing me to hit those triggers and generally die an ignoble death.

Is there any way to rebind the keys for it? I found the menu item showing what's bound, but nothing seems to be editable.

Any suggestions?

Try checking which mode your moga controller is in A mode is presetup for moga games and may be causing the issues. B mode is hid (human input device aka keyboard) mode and hopefully should work just like my bluetooth controller (gamestop red samurai) and allow you to remap. I know Moga does not officially support emulators but if it was dectected the drastic supports it.

If all else fails there are some apps in the google play store that may let you reassign buttons for your controller. Hope it works out for you.

Thank you! B mode worked like a charm. The way the manual is written, it sounded like B mode had less compatibility so I hadn't tried it. Derp.

Mode B does have less compatability if an app only supports moga due to some deal then mode b probably won't work plus mode a is setup to just work with most apps less effort, but less customization.
