Game restarts when using .dsv converted from .sav

Post by Hendog6521 » Sat Nov 15, 2014 8:35 pm

So I've always been a big fan of pokemon and I wanted to play along with one of my subscriptions on youtube. so I downloaded the linked .sav file. I know I cant play them in drastic so I converted the file with a program I installed called NDS save file converter. now I have a 'Pokemon Platinum.dsv' in my DraStic/backup folder which is 512kb. I run pokemon platinum (I have tried both zipped and unzipped ROM files) and everything goes fine until I go to load the game.

The 'continue game' icon appears but when I click on it the game resets and starts again from the start of the intro. I have tried loading ithe rom and in game save in Desmume 9.10 and it works fine.

I even actually bought DraStic to see if it would work but still nothing.

Drastic DS .dsv files are just renamed .sav files. you don't need to convert anything. just rename the file extension and make sure its the name name as the rom
