I'll be purchasing next android phone with emulation in mind, to have a phone to use as a gaming platform in addition.
So Nintendo DS (because of JRPG's and Adventure Games) emulation is most important.
So, my top contenders (for my price range) are Moto G (2014) and Samsung S3 Neo (9301l)
A7 quad cores 1.2 vs 1.4
Adreno 305 GPU
1 vs 1.5 GB RAM.
So are there any better ones, something wrong with these ones for Drastic in terms of cpu's etc... How important is clock speed, chipset, any benefits from quad cores?
Importance of A7/A9, Quad/Dual, >1GB RAM, High Clock speed?

I don't see any issues unless you plan to play 3d heavy games like golden sunGoranH wrote:I'll be purchasing next android phone with emulation in mind, to have a phone to use as a gaming platform in addition.

My phone has same specs as Moto G (Galaxy S4 Mini) and heavy 3D games including golden sun have no lag on 0 frameskip so it really shouldn't matter which deviceJay Haru wrote:I don't see any issues unless you plan to play 3d heavy games like golden sunGoranH wrote:I'll be purchasing next android phone with emulation in mind, to have a phone to use as a gaming platform in addition.

Even a recent entry-level phone made in the past few years can at least run some games in full speed, like Mediatek's 6572 for one. Though of course if you have a phone with a beefier chipset things would most likely be smooth as butter without any frameskips or something.

You know, if you could go a bit over your budget, you should consider the Xiaomi Mi3 instead. The 16gb version is pretty cheap right now, and the hardware is much better in general. It's still one of the fastest phones around, competing with the likes of the Nexus5, LG G3, Note 3 and Galaxy S 5. Runs Heavy 3D games on Drastic much better than my other Snapdragon 400 phone.
Xiaomi mi3 Specs:
Quad-core Snapdragon 800@2.3ghz + Adreno 330@578mhz
1080p IPS display
2gb RAM
16gb
13mp camera + 2mp
Edit: Didn't see the date on this. You probably already bought the phone. Sorry and disregard this post :s
