i recently restarted soul silver and thought that by starting a new game it would be able to just save over the old file. well i was wrong. everytime it says cannot save because there is another save file. i deleted the old save off the phone and have been relying on savestates this past week. but i don't want to keep doing that cause i know those can easily get screwed up. anyone know a fix?

Make sure you are using the latest version of drastic.
you can try this as this is what my usual setting is : on advanced options, uncheck the ingame saves are stored in savestates option.

i tried that but it still won't let me save :/ is there anyway to load the savestate in desmume (ds emulator for pc) and create a save on my comp and transfer it over?

Well, I don't really know what happened to cause this problem. But I'd try this:

1) Rename the backup file in /sdcard/DraStic/backup to something else so there's no valid backup file for the game anymore.
2) Load the savestate
3) With the "ingame saves in savestates" option OFF make a new savestate in a different slot.
4) Load the game and do NOT click to continue, start it from the beginning/title screen.
5) Start a new game and play until you can save. Make a save.
6) Load the savestate you made in step 3. Make an in-game save.
7) Turn the "ingame saves in savestates" option back on.
8) Load the game again. Again, don't select to continue the game.
9) See if you can load the in-game save you made.

i got all the way to step 6. it won't let me save in the old savestates.

Have u used the ingame way to delete the save (up + select + B i think, at the title screen)?

yea that was the first thing i tried. i gave up and just started a new game so it's whatever. i wasn't that far in it
