Mario and Sonic games
Im using my xperia play, and Mario and sonic at the Olympics, and the winter Olympics are very laggy qnd slow, hopefully you can fix this in future updates
Re: Mario and Sonic games
This is to be expected on a single core device. Not all games will run fullspeed.

Yeah I know, but im hoping performance on single core devices like mine improve in future updates
Re: Mario and Sonic games
Haven't tried Mario and sonic but everything I've tried is blazing fast on mine, and I'm not overclocked.Sean wrote:This is to be expected on a single core device. Not all games will run fullspeed.
Are you using a custom rom?
Re: Mario and Sonic games
there are both benefits and drawbacks to overclocking your device. my old xperia play clocked all the way to 1.8ghz. N64 games ran like shit off a shovel. didnt do the thing good in the long run though it eventually died due to excessive overheating with prolonged use. even survived a 30ft drop. stock isnt bad however its highly outdated now. shame really the play should have been dual core.
Devices running Android:
- Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (CM12.1, overclocked, undervolted)
- Asus Nexus 7 2013 (Stock Marshmallow...to play Pokemon GO on...)
- Tenfifteen QW09 SmartWatch (Kitkat)
- Fujitsu Lifebook T4410 Touchscreen Laptop (Remix OS 3.0)

Re: Mario and Sonic games
OC isn't necessary; it does help but games are totally playable with some roms that have better performance than stock.
I haven't had the time to try mario and sonic just now, to see if that would fix your problem, but you might want to look into installing a custom rom like Gin2Jellybean or NXT 2r1, they are really good.

Re: Mario and Sonic games
So, I've given a go to Mario and sonic and I can confirm it's a bit slow, not totally unplayable, but not all minigames are fun. I guess it's because it's so 3d heavy, the funny thing is that games that are quite 3d heavy like ff crystal chronicles work perfectly otherwise, I guess Mario and sonic isn't that well optimised a game to begin with!
