Not sure how to use cheat

I'm trying to use the hero Pokemon modifier cheat, but I'm not sure how to use it. It's in the Pokemon mystery dungeon: explorers of darkness rom. Please help

Instruction about how to use a cheat should be included under the cheat's name.
