Perform Flick with pointer

Hello

Please can someone explain how to perform a 'flick' using the pointer, trying to start a game where you have to flick to start the game, i can only move the stylus pointer slowly, this is on Retropie.

Try adjusting the right stick deadzone to move the pointer faster.
