Left Analog Stick

Post by Racooll » Wed May 11, 2016 4:25 am

Hi dear developers. I am play drastic on android tv box on tv and have such suggestion. My external gamepad has two analog sticks and the left stick in drastic always doubles d-pad. Can you add option to change behavior for left stick too, as right stick have? For example in Dementium I want Right stick to set as fps mode to look around and left stick as pointer to take objects open doors eg. At the same time. Hope you understand what I mean, sorry for my english. Thanks.

I dont want to discuss you, because you dont know what are you talking about. And I registered here not to waste my time with you. If you have no idea what i mean, stop posting here. And I repeat my question to developers, not to kusuke456. Can you make an option for LEFT stick (to be the pointer mode, or fps mode, or stick mode) exactly the same you do for right stick? Because it will be more useful then just doubles d-pad and nothing more. Is it some kind of technical problem?

Well.. This is very last my post here Kisuka000. The REAL Nintendo DS have no analog sticks at all. It only have D-Pad. And all external gamepads has D-pad which is enough to do all what real nintendo ds do. Like move your character or else. But most external controllers additionaly has 2 sticks which can be fully configurable in other emulators but not in drastic. In drastic I can not confugure left stick at all. It always do the same as d-pad. In other emulator like retroarch I can bind any function to any stick (left or right). For example I can even bind hotkeys like fast forward toggle or open menu or save state to any direction of any sticks. And it is very useful. I want this in drastic too. Or at least the same as they did for right stick. Of course you dont understand nothing Kisyke098, but I really dont care. Hope the developers will understand.

The beta version of DraStic does have Lua support and itmshoukd in theory be able to change the functionality of external controllers left stick. Though even if you do change the functionality if the left stick it will only be like having 2 fingers on a nintendo ds touchpad. You still wont be able to use both the left stick and right atick at the exact same time, since the Nintendo DS hardware and thus the games made for it do not support multitouch.

What would probably be easier and make much more sense would be to use Lua to change the right stick mode between fps mode and pointer mode without having to go through the whole menu system to change it. I am not sure if the lua scripting has access to that specific setting, but that would probably be a much cleaner and easier fix.

So you realised real DS console don't have analog sticks...anyways just test Tksilvers method for now. Not going to bother putting up a pointless argument and the I hope the developers consider this for you :) Have a Good Day :D

Good trolling BTW meh was fun while it lasted...oh well bye. Eric bazinga has enemies now I do too.
