There's ads at the top of the page all of a sudden. They weren't there yesterday, and their placement above everything else is pretty annoying. They always pop up, and my ad blocker isn't blocking them. I get it if you want the site to pay for itself, but it would've been nice to let us know you were adding them.

We didn't (and wouldn't) add any ads to this site and I don't see any.
Does anyone else see ads?

Nope, turned off ad block and checked with a different browser.... no ads.


Looks like eric has some adware, or a virus, or something else up.

Edit:

Loaded up the site on ios, and windows as well ..... still no ads

Googled it. Yup, I had a virus. Some shit called Wajam...

Uninstalled the program causing it, no more ads.

Likely adware or a PUA which adds AD code into page HTML client side. For some reason, some antiviruses don't detect those types. Use Avira or Avast! if you want protection agaisnt that with a realtime shield. Id say Avira as it's less intrusive when asking you to upgrade to premium. Or just use Windows 10 so you have windows defender antimalware built in.

If you really are paranoid you could do a run through Malwarebytes and Hitman Pro just to make sure that there aren't any more traces of the stuff left.
