Hotel Dusk/Wish Room Slowdown & "Ghosting?"

Hey all,
So, I've been trying out the Drastic demo on my Kindle Fire (2015) after sideloading the Google Play Store, and so far, I've been absolutely floored by how well it's run just about everything I've thrown at it. Still, there IS one problem I've had, and I can't figure it out. If I could get it straightened out, this would be an insta-purchase, but I want to make sure I'll be able to play the game first.
So, while a bunch of other 3D games perform great without any problem at all (including Super Mario 64 DS and even Last Window, the game's sequel), Hotel Dusk slows down a decent chunk (at least enough to be noticeable) whenever I rotate my viewpoint in game. What's more whenever I finish examining an object, I get a weird sort of "ghosting" image (pictured in the link below) that lingers for a second or two.
I can live with the ghosting if need be, but the slowdown is just jarring enough to make me wonder, especially when so many games that are far more graphic-intensive perform without a hiccup. I've tried adjusting just about every setting I could, but the results were either negligible or just made things worse.
Would anyone know any way to remedy this, or would this be something that might have to be addressed by an update? I realize the Fire's underpowered compared to actual "modern" devices, but given the luck I've had with other titles, it doesn't seem to be a lack of power that's the problem.
Thanks a ton!
EDIT: Now with the picture actually linked! Woops.
