Rhythm Heaven DS Problems?

Hi,
I tried playing Rhythm Heaven on Drastic (Nexus 4) and the sound doesn't time well with the graphics so the game is really hard to play. Maybe it's because of the Nexus 4 but anyone who tried Rhythm Heaven on Drastic can you please check if this is normal? Thanks.
Phone Hardware
1.5GHZ Quad Core Krait
Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon
Adreno 320 GPU
ARM V7 NEON

Set audio latency to low in options to remove any sound delay.
However you are still screwed: every touch lags a little, either because of the screen technology (capacitive, not N4's fault), OS or emulation. You'll have to actively time your inputs so they are recognized as you want: taps, swipes, etc. Games are still playable, but not as twitchy as on DS.
If you are into that, I felt stock ROMs to be the most responsive of all. Can't remember about ART, still on Kitkat with Xposed.

The more sensitive a game is to lag (input, framerate, or sound) the les suitable it generally is to emulation even on monster hardware. With that said here are the best things you can do to try and get it to work.
video options:
Frameskip set to 0
High resolution set to off / filters set to off
Multi-threaded 3d rendering set to off
Sound options:
sound set tomthe lowest latency
In game menu:
Kill off either the virtual buttons or the touch screen if you do not have to have both
Using allmthose setting if the game plays at full speed then you should be able to do it but with speed hacks and other emulation tricks usually timing is one of the first casualties. Running a clock accurate snes takes around 3GHz and even for the computer I do not think any ds emulator is clock accurate.

It's not really the emulator providing much of the lag, although it provides some. It's the audio and especially touch latency that kills things. Android devices were not designed for low latency gaming. Check out this video:

No Android device responds in under 100ms, with some nearly twice that. The Apple device does quite a bit better at 70ms, but that's still not very good for something like a rhythm game, and the audio latency only compounds things.
I don't know this for a fact, but I suspect a good low level resistive interface like on the DS is a lot lower latency than the capacitive panels used in phones and tablets. With capacitive a lot of post processing has to be done to clean up the image and identify presses. This could explain why Nintendo still used resistive even for the Wii U gamepad (although cost could also be a major factor).

Thanks. Setting audio latency to low did help a tad, but I do understand playing a DS game on an emulator on an Android is slower than playing on an actual DS. But it's great that other games work very well.
