Need help using cheats on Pokemon Platinum

Hey guys, this is my first thread so I MIGHT be in the wrong section, I do request any moderators to move this thread to the right section.
I'm not sure if there is a guide as how to use cheats on drastic if there is then I would love a link for that...
Most of the cheats are self explanatory within the emulator but there are some cheats that don't really give instructions on how to use them
There is a cheat called 'MAX IV' that I would like to use in Pokemon Platinum but I'm not sure how to use it and if it will affect only 1 or all of my Pokemon
I did try to look around the thread before posting but didn't find no results, if there is a different thread for this then a link would be much appreciated. Thanks guys in advance.
