Hello,

I got myself an ipega 9025 bluethooth gamepad and i was trying the demo before deciding whether to buy or not but i can't seem to get it to work.

The controller is recognized and it even does some things in the emulator. i can navigate with the stick and use a to select and b to go back. the issue is that other than that the keys do nothing. when it doesn't recognize any key in mapping other than a and b but whenever i press them a sends me to the play store and b exits. same in game. the arrow keys work in game but b exits the program and a goes into select rom.

I think this is because it thinks it's a moga? i don't know. i tried both in y and x mode. And the phone is an oneplus one.

any solutions?

UPDATE: so i just saw the keys were not recognized because i didn't had the input method set as default (i find it bothersome to have to switch in and out but oh well). however i still have the problem that the menu actions are still present in game. so for now i can't map anything to b because b exits every time. similar issues with A (still the appstore thing which is weird) and R(swap screens i guess). is there a way to disable the moga mappings?

There *is* a way to get any gamepad (not just an iPega. FYI i too use an iPega 9025)

You will need the app *gamekeyboard+* (either legit or otherwise). Obtain it, install it. Then when connecting ipega to phone hold home+x to put it into gamepad mode (4.2+ wont recognise it as a controller for now)

Go into gamekeyboard+ and follow all the instructions it says to enable it. Then go to the first option and pick 'native gamepad/input' then go into the second dropdown menu and click on 'emulate joypad'. After this u can exit the app, uninstall it - whatever. It will retain this info. Now any HID gamepad u connect will have full analog support and will be seen by android as a native controller
