LovePlus display issues

I'm trying to play a game called LovePlus. The control layout is fine, but both screens, while being in the right position, display everything with a 90° clockwise offset. Any ideas how to fix it?

disable controls (in the drastic pause menu). LovePlus does not use the buttons. only the touchscreen
