It's not a ripoff, it's an official release for Chinese speakers (and yes, it does have ads that no one ever clicks ). It's there because Chinese users can't normally buy things on Google Play.

China blocks Google Play for whatever reason, and alternative Chinese paid app stores are virtually non-existent. China has a huge number of Android users and we didn't want to lock them all out entirely. This version is still a big pain to use if you don't know Chinese, and you do have to put up with ads.

He's not a bot or a spammer, he is basically our representative for the Chinese users. That post wasn't spam, just his legitimate reaction to this thread
