Pokemon heart gold quick egg hatch cheat not working.

I'm attempting a playthrough of a ROM hack called sacred gold.

Anyways, in order for this playthrough to run correctly I need the fast egg hatch to work. (It's an egglocke for you pokemon fans reading.)

Multiple other cheats have worked, but the three different versions of the fast hatch code I've tried all seem to not work. (Multiple sites online tell me that each of these are tested.)

Anybody have any idea why fast hatch wouldn't work? It doesn't say it needs a button imput, amd even if it did, I've tried most common ones.

Hmm thats odd. I guess i could try it out myself and see where its going wrong (these codes are basically all from pokemon heart gold, just the ROM header had to be changed to work with sacred gold)

A youtuber I follow said that they don't work on occasion, but I've tried them on around 30 eggs so it can't just be the wrong eggs. With quick hatch on, I ran around for about five minutes just to make sure it wasn't sped up in the slightest, none hatched. Thank you for attempting to help!

Edit: there are two egg codes. One is just called quick hatch. The other is called fast hatch and in the description it says that it makes the game think 1 step =255

Just a heads up, the code titled "Quick hatch" now works... no idea why, but not complaining.
