Can you use other people's savestates?

The 'Continue' and 'Continue last save' options will be available if there's any savestate at all, then it will pick the most recent one.
The Quick-Load/Save buttons in the radial menu only apply to the single quicksave slot (8), so Quick-Load will only be available if you ever made a Quick-Save before

Is there a reason why the Drastic emulator won't recognise other peoples savestate in-game and just savestate itself?

Does it have to be same ROM that the save originated from?

I've renamed the .DSV and .DSS file to the ROM name via copy and paste and tried the method you showed me by going into in-game menu save but it's not there.

Odd I have copied and used saves from my tablet on my phone and downloaded from the forum on my tablet, without any issues. While the ones from my tablet to my phone were the exact same rom I am sure that the Savestates I used from the forum on my tablet were not the exact same rom (I dump my own carts), though they may have been made the exact same way (not entirely sure).

Ahh good to know, I almost never use the continue from last save so I never really looked too much into it

And I realized the issue



Kyosuke add a _0 through _8 to the end of the name to denote the slot of the save state so
FireemblemDS.nds should be FireemblemDS_0.dss or FireemblemDS_5.dss, sorry I forgot about the slot number in my naming instructions.

DON'T WORRY ITS FIXED TKSILVER...I figured what was wrong now...you could've told me earlier...

the trick is when renaming a .DSS is at the end of (WiKiLEAKS) you MUST UNDERSCORE with both _8 and _9 for it to be recognised as the savestate... I can confirm this after spending 3 painful backbreaking hours to figure this out. That's the format Drastic recognises it as a savestate...man its bloody 2am here, took me from 11am...

Yea sorry I blanked on remembering that Savestates required a slot designation (the _[number 0-8]) until I read Lordus's comment about quicksaves being slot 8 and then it just dawned in me that that was the issue all along. Sorry it cause you so much trouble, but I am glad it now works for you.

Nah it's fine Tksilver. I got someone's save working but seems his ROM is glitched and set to an infinite loop.
