Bpth of those games are also DSi enhanced games and as someone who makes roms from his own carts there are quite a few ways to mess up those types of roms. You might want to try a different rom (preferably ripping one from your own game)

I don't think I am able to obtain a different ROM.

I'm sorry for not replying for a while, but real life got in the way and I couldn't post here due to it. Anyway, I finally, after all this time, got a different White 2 ROM from a different source and was quite interested to see if the problem lied within the ROM file that I was using before. Unfortunately, the all too familiar static noises appeared again, which revives my suspicions of the emulator being the issue, not the ROM.
What further supports this case is the fact that before obtaining the different ROM, the ROM I used previously worked fine on Desume with no crashes on the first encounter with Hugh. Sure, there were some graphical glitches in Castelia City, but other than that it worked.
Despite my suspicions, however, I'm quite clueless on how the issues came to be. As mentioned earlier, both the White and White 2 ROMs worked perfectly on Drastic before March, so the cause may be different than I realize.
(Note: I'm writing this quite early in the morning and I'm tired, so excuse me if something doesn't make sense)
