yep, has to be the same exact rom across your devices

So best practice is to just download the same exact rom from the same exact website pretty much

The best of all practices is to use your Nintendo DS and dump your cartridge on to your computer and then copy the rom from the computer to both devices. ftp... or a lan (window share/nas) connection can be done easily and for fre using total commander (you will need either the lan or ftp plugin but those are free too).

did you even download the save?

whats the file size in drive?, on the other device?

I upload a dss file to Google drive and then get on my tablet and download it. I'm about to move that save to the saves state folder but it won't run. I thought I would be able to upload my save and then manage save states on another device with the same drive acc and I would be good. The drive file size is 1.7mb
