moga keys mapping

Post by kennyx13 » Wed Apr 09, 2014 8:10 am

It is annoying that on the "native" setting of moga it says x=y/ y=x/ a=b/ b=a
Why did you do this? I think it would have been better to let us map the controls. Everything is confusing because you have to invert all the controls.
Is there a way to get them right?
This really is UNacceptable and baconbaconbacon to do this. And the emulator is not cheap in the play store too.
Very very very stressed out by this.

dood, ya need to learn to respect people if ya want to get any response not to mention forum ettiqutes.

you also need to chill, getting stressed out by an emulator is baconbaconbacon (using the same wording you used). also, i would say the emulator is way cheaper than getting a ds new or not.

lastly, im no moga user but there must be a reason why the devs did that (prolly mapped it like a ds button would be) and lordus is trying to support it as much as possible so any flak from anyone to him is UNacceptable to me. you can just say your concern and let them attend to it not sounding like you paid a million dollars for the app. you paid for it and so did everyone else but you dont see them b*tching about their concern.

okay, my rant is up but again, please learn to post properly. there is only 2 people developing this app so we ask to give them time to attend your concerns.

The buttons are mapped like that, so they're in the same location as on a real DS.
The MOGA button labels are just swapped compared to a DS.

DS games use the right action button (A) to confirm, and the lower button (B) to cancel actions, for example, and i think it'd be more confusing to anyone who played on a real DS, to have them reversed.

You have to understand, Moga needs a lot of special support, we had to do a lot just to get it working at all. It doesn't work with the rest of the remap infrastructure we have, we'd have to do a special mapping just for Moga. Until now no one has requested this, and we just can't spend much time on features that almost no one seems to want.

I really think you're better off not fighting against the button layout anyway, this is the physical positioning that the game developers intended, if you move them around some things are going to be less comfortable. And instead of being confused by button names in games you'd be confused by pictures of where the buttons are.

Why don't you just use the moga universal driver?
