Creating Shortcut?

Creating Shortcut?

How to add shortcut? I pressed the "Create Shortcut" in the menu and nothing happens.
I'm using the demo version of DraStic with version r2.4.0.0a (can't found newer demo version since it doesn't appear in my play store). Launcher used is free version of Nova launcher (5.5.3) and the phone is Asus Zenfone 4. The original launcher (ZenUI) didn't work either.

Do you have space on your home screen for a shortcut?

Yes. I just got this phone several days ago Ang the home screen is pretty empty.

Android 7.1.1.
Works fine for me on Android 7.1.1, perhaps it depends on the launcher you are on. You could try Nova Launcher from the play store. Also the create shortcut option appears to give no indication that it created the shortcut, but it is still created.

I did use Nova Launcher. What else might be the problem?

The launcher itself. Maybe that is why the shortcut does not appear.

Nova launcher is definitely not the issue, I had it on my S8 with android 7.0 and shortcuts worked fine and could be created. That said, I've just updated to 8.0 and now I have the same problem, pressing "create shortcut" does nothing, not even on the stock launcher.
