How soft reset?

I want to do soft reset at my games but i press L+R+Start+Select and nothing hapens,someone help me pls.

Only some games have soft resets, and it'll depend on the game.

Is there a reason a hard reset is undesirable? You can do it in the DraStic menu (it's "Reset Game")
