Won't open since latest update

Running full/paid version, working just fine until latest update, now won't open anything. Have the option to load game and can select ROM, logo spins for a bit, then right back to start screen. Have cleared all data, deleted and re-downloaded ROM, and even uninstalled and re-installed app. Any suggestions? My kid is driving me nuts to get back to his game.

Clearing the app cache could help, but reinstalling the app should negate that. Maybe restarting the phone couldn't hurt.

What game is it? Are you resuming from a savestate when the game is loaded, and if so does it still crash if you start the game normally?

Plus it would help if you tell us as to what device are you using, e.g. make/model, operating system, etc.

In answer to your questions, the ROM is for Super Mario 64 DS, and it worked with zero glitches, so I know the ROM is good. It runs just fine on my phone as well. We tried opening from savestate AND starting over. I thought maybe there might have been a memory issue, so I wiped out all his saves and tried opening a new game, still no go. After that, I completely deleted the game and wiped out the app cache for Drastic, still nothing. And yes, there were multiple reboots of the tablet in between. It's a generic (Wopad) tablet running Android 4.4.2 that I have rooted. When none of that worked, I uninstalled Drastic, rebooted and re-installed. Still no go.

Also, just tried another ROM, Metroid Prime Hunters, and get the exact same result. ROM works just fine on my phone, so it's good as well.

You can try to delete the contents of /sdcard/DraStic/unzip_cache, then load the game again.
If that doesn't work, unpack the ROM (you can use ZArchiver or AndroZip for example) and load the .nds file directly.
If it's still happening, it would help to have a log of the crash. With a rooted device you can use an app like aLogcat to get the logcat output during the crash.

OK, unpacking with ZArchiver and loading the .nds files directly seems to have worked for both ROMs. Just need to rearrange his files a bit so he has an easy way of getting to his games. Thanks for your help!

So it crashes when trying to unpack the file to the cache.
How much free space is there on the internal memory? Can you load compressed games after rebooting the device?

same phenomenon here (on Asus Fonepad7, x86): Since upgrading to Lollipop 5.0, loading any rom (zipped or unzipped, from internal or external memory card) gets me right back to the homescreen (not even loading screen showing)

Did a reinstall (r2.3.0.2a), numerous restarts, freeing memory (~400 mb), removing notifications...
Any ideas?
