Pokemon Black rom save issue

Basically I saved my game right before I went, and ate dinner. When i came back my save converted back to a save from earlier in the day which is costing me 7-10 levels which would suck to redo.(i use in game saves not save states) However the game makes me use a save state i made at one point if I dont then reset and load the actual save the game lags if i dont load with it.
