Help restoring files

Hi all, Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere. I was forced to factory reset my Nexus 7 2012 so physically copied the entire drastic folder in order to later restore this in order to keep save games and custom controller setups etc. I have tried to copy these files back on tothe nexus, but encounter an 'unable to copy' message. Using Windows 8. Any ideas? Am I going about this in the wrong way? Cheers Z.
