Re: Reproducible crash in FFTA2 romhack

It will take me a few days until either my friend sends me that or I produce it myself, but sure I will try to check if it's the same on vanilla

EDIT in the meanwhile I tried doing this bit on Desmume by swapping the saves around and back and, I can confirm, THIS CRASH DOESN'T HAPPEN ON DESMUME ...

Re: Reproducible crash in FFTA2 romhack

Would you be able to post the crash_dump.txt file after the crash? Its located in the Drastic folder.

I... Can't seem to find it. Is it supposed to be in the root? There's nothing in there, nor inside any of the other folders.

It's supposed to be in the root of the Drastic folder yes. If ...

Reproducible crash in FFTA2 romhack

I'm playing this romhack for FFTA2. Simply downloading the .ups from the first post and applying it to any FFTA2 rom should do the trick.
This is the .dsv .

Steps for reproduction:

1) Load Slot 1 save data from the main menu
2) Move cursor to the location with the Blue Exclamation Point and ...

Re: Can fast-forward cause problems in Pokemon saves?

So I shouldn't have any problems since I'm not using savestates.
Exo, I actually don't have the RTC synch enabled. Why did you say it could possibly be dangerous?

Re: Can fast-forward cause problems in Pokemon saves?

I hadn't thought of this before - I would hope it doesn't cause problems but it's not impossible that it will. There's an option to keep the emulated RTC synced with the device time, but honestly I'm not sure which is more potentially dangerous.

I would recommend backing up your save files (the ...

Can fast-forward cause problems in Pokemon saves?

I noticed that fast-forwarding while playing Pokemon also doubles the speed of the in-game clock. May it cause problems when reloading a savefile?
For example, it's 10:00. I grind for 30 minutes with fast-forward, meaning I turn off the game at real-time 10:30 but when saving the game it shows 11:00 ...

Re: How well does Pokémon Heartgold/Soulsilver emulate?

I'm a bit confused, so is there a save file already when starting the for the first time or not? Either way, I'll do the button combination just to be safe.
Do all the clock related events work fine?

Re: How well does Pokémon Heartgold/Soulsilver emulate?

Soulsilver runs 100% fine also cheats work normally and you can even play with 2x graphics AKA high resolution.

Though at the start of the game at the start menu where lugia is flying in the background you might want to delete the current in-game save stored on it by pressing these 3 keys ...

How well does Pokémon Heartgold/Soulsilver emulate?

Title says all. Minor glitches are not a big deal, but I'd like to know about possible save breaking bugs.
Also, do the clock based events work properly?
