Exactly but how do I know how many master balls to get rid of to get the item I want

So bassically im not sure how to use it. All it says to do is press L and R. It gives you 634 master balls and a 999 ultraballs. Then all it says after that is press L to chamge the item and cost. So when I press L it changes to a Reveal Glass instead of a pokeball but thats it. Is it like the ...
