I have two other suggestions, maybe that will help but maybe it's a waste of time:
1.) I take the savestates and put them to an nds emulator for windows so that I can continue playing on computer. I'm not sure if this is as easy as it sounds
2.) Get the version 2.1.1a, start at ...

Here's something you can try that may or may not work:

1) Rename the in-game save file for the game to something else. It's in /sdcard/DraStic/backup and will be named like the ROM but with the extension ".dsv" This way the game will have no saves ...

yeh I made one right in front of the elite 4 entrance, my team is 10-15 levels lower at this time.
I also made this save on version 2.1.1.. I could try to start from this point and beat elite 4 again but I guess after that I will be confronted with this bug, too
