Cheat Database wont load

Okay, so I'm New here, so I'm sorry if this question has been post before. I'm having an issue getting the default cheat database to load on my HTC one (m8). I am fairly sure it's not the games because I have the exact same game files operating on my Google nexus 7 tablet, and the cheat database will show up for them. I've tried everything from reinstalling drastic. To clearing true cashe and data. I checked all of my permissions. Does anyone have any different ideas? I've only been playing the pokemon games (heart gold and black 2), if that matters at all?
